The second of a five part documentary - See our brand new opening credits (Music supplied by Enormous)!!
This Episode picks up at our journey from Callet to Cologne. See what we make of Cologne and Amsterdam, the extreme weather, the rival buskers and the introduction of BuskCam. I hope that you enjoy Episode II, please feel free to leave a comment if you do.
I came across a new blog yesterday written by Hannah Solo. It’s a good looking blog which discusses loads of blog related stuff in the style of a virtual magazine. It’s very new and I know I should wait until the blog design is complete before bouncing some traffic her way but I read a post which inspired me/ fired me up/ (made me write a ranting comment) . I know I’ve posted about my annoyance with reality TV before but Hannah’s brought it all back for me
It did get me thinking about the kind of reality TV that I might watch. I think TV’s missing a trick with this idea:
Death Battle of the Household Product Mascots
Mr Muscle Vs Barry Scott
The Green Giant Vs Captain Birdseye
The Coco Monkey Vs Honey Puffs Monster
Now that’s the sort of TV I’d watch!!! ….that’s not a good sign is it?
Please keep on leaving your comments, it’s great to read what you think! And don’t forget that Episode 2 is out on Sunday the 16th November (this Sunday!!).
It’s unprecedented for me to write a post like this but as Birch has appeared all over my site in photos, stories, Eurobusk and will soon be lending his dulcet tones to my podcast he’s part of this site and should be acknowledged
Happy 24th Birthday
I’m sorry that I can’t be there in London due to gigs, rehearsal and my Dad’s Birthday in the Midlands this weekend but I hope you have a great day. Make the 3 Quarter Tones have a drink in my memory as you rip up London.
Well here it is!! It’s Finally done. I don’t think it really needs any explanation but if you want to know more about this documentary take a look at The Quarter Tones.
There are 5 Episodes in total, each about 15 minutes long. This first Episode introduces the band, shows us getting to grips with the cameras and sets the scene as we leave the United Kingdom.
Rob, Birch and I took our final pick up shots last night. We had attempted it on Tuesday but had a few technical issues. I’ll spend time today putting it all together and finishing everything off so unless there are any major unforeseen problems Episode 1 should be out within the next couple of days!!!
I finished playing Me and My Girl a few days ago. It was nice to see the company and the guys from the pit. The funniest thing of the week were the spontaneous applause I seemed to get. Firstly for my drunken “Les Dawson-esk” playing in a scene change that got more applause the more outrageous I made it ?! And secondly from a scene where Andy would grab an ear trumpet and call everyone into the room by playing a fanfare (that I’d play and he’d mime).
I have to say as far as miming goes he could teach some of the trumpet players you see on the TV a thing or two. The thing that kept me on my toes every night was coming up with a fresh fanfare. I wasn’t too keen on the potential this unrehearsed fanfare would have of falling on its arse (like the first one nearly did) but as the shows went on I got more into the absurdity of it. In fact it became a hot topic amongst the cast and orchestra, but I didn’t give it away.
I liked having a few little moments in the show. Now I’m back in London for a few days. Playing a little jazz, watchin a little bond … generally getting down tonight.
I’ve just taken a little break from posting but fresh content will be back within the week. But don’t worry there are nearly 300 other posts to read as well as videos, pictures, and music!!
