I think Birch could easily have freaked out on us…. “Beach?” Thump. Thump. Would have been how the conversation could have gone. Luckily for us, we’d managed to placate much of Birch’s angerness and he came round to this BBC pretty quickly. Phew!

I would just like to clarify. When Matt and I laugh heartily having said “Birchy’s dead”… we weren’t laughing at the possible demise of our friend, but at the fact we both said the same thing at the same time. Which has been happening more and more these last three years…
