How To Make A Composer Fly

by Matt on February 22, 2008

This is a short story that Dave Livesey was telling me.

When he was younger he was singing in the choir at the Anglican Cathedral (Liverpool). For anyone who has seen the size of the organ in the Cathedral you’ll will truly appreciate the following.

Reading that back I realise I have used the phrase “Size of the Organ” and I’m sure I will now have my comments spammed by viagra companies.

Anyway, for laugh his mates angled the organ air-vents down a flight of stairs, called Dave up and then mashed the organ keys when he got to the top. The result of this blew Dave off his feet and down the flight of stairs!!!

Thankfully he found the funny side and was only left with a few bruises and a ringing in his ears for a few hours.

I was in the south case of the organ and had just walked up a staircase when a ‘friend’ decided to play on the 32 foot tuba magna stop, which is the second loudest in the world. Falling down the stairs clutching my ears hurt!
